Hw: pick the poem you would like to focus on, write 1-page informal response considering major questions you have about it, what its major themes are, and how/why you relate to it.

F, 9/9: Poem group-work. Present Essay Assignment.
            Hw: initial draft of Unit 1 (4 complete pages) due in class Mon. Bring 2 COPIES!

M, 9/12: In-class reading and editing. Revision Plans.
            Hw: second draft Unit 1 due in class.

W, 9/14: Peer editing and copyediting.
            Hw: Final graded draft due Fri.

F, 9/16: Turn in Unit 1 essay. Share. Writer’s Reflection
